Webstyle has tried to gain more traffic through the world’s famous html / css galleries.

We have faced several problems and decided to share the experience with others.

First problem was – hey, where are we going to start from?

Google search on the “Css galleries” query gave us about 160,000,000 results and that was not an option to start from. Luckily there was a banner on Webdesignerdepot.com resource, that led us to one of the commercial submission services called cssgallerysubmissionservice.com

Second problem: pay $18 for auto submission (with no result guaranteed)

Even though $18 is a small amount of money, we are experienced enough not waste 15 bottles of beer for nothing Css Gallery Submission Service has all the links to world’s top rated html /css galleries directly on it’s homepage – so we decided not to pay and to do the job manually.

Third problem: copy paste job

It will take about 2 hours for experienced user to submit the website to more than 100 galleries. 1/3 of them require a custom made jpg preview in different sizes.

Fourth problem – admin review pending or a dead service

Next couple of hours we received dozens of emails with the same content like:

Hello, thank you for submitting http://www.webstyle.ee. Your submission was sent successfully and has been added to the pending list. Your submission will be added as soon as possible if it meets our quality standards. Regards, ***** Gallery.

No more problems – conclusion and statistics

After waiting for 3 days, only 2 of more than 100 galleries have accepted our website: www.cssmania.com and www.mostinspired.com. Screenshots below show you statistics taken from Google Analytics next couple of days.
Cssmania gave us about 600 unique visitors which covered more than 90% of the inhabited word. 35% of all vistiors came from India. USA was ranked 2nd.

We’re getting 500+ visits from this resource daily and still hope that other galleries are not dead and sooner or later they will accept us
